Local conditions in Auckland

Auckland's combination of high UV, humidity and coastal salt exposure is demanding on exterior coatings. Properties near the harbour or west coast beaches see faster coating breakdown than inland suburbs, and generally need recoating closer to every seven years than every twelve.

Auckland's older housing stock — particularly villas and bungalows in the central suburbs — frequently has lead-based paint under later coatings. Disturbing it without proper containment is a genuine health risk, and we handle those surfaces accordingly.

Many Auckland homes built through the 1990s and early 2000s have monolithic cladding. These require careful assessment before recoating, because paint can conceal moisture problems rather than solve them. We will tell you if what you actually need is a building inspection rather than a paint job.

Suburbs we cover

We work throughout Auckland, including Central Auckland, Ponsonby, Mount Eden, Remuera, Epsom, Newmarket, West Auckland, Henderson, Manukau, Papakura and Howick and surrounding areas. If your suburb is not listed, call us on 022 095 0866 — we very likely cover it.
